Averbook also stressed the need to design HR technology around workers by instituting personas and employing design thinking. Consequently, as per ADP's John Antos, Vice President of Strategy, Global Payroll & Asia Pacific, CHROs will require to concentrate on talent retention rather than recruitment.

Workers could consider transporting corporate culture and searching for likely recruits who are agile.

The SP Setia's CHRO, Nadiah Tan Abdullah, said executives must display self-discipline, resilience, and empathy while managing remote personnel during the epidemic. Chen and Nadiah agreed that as working becomes more digital, contract or project work will gradually substitute a permanent job, and CHROs must be ready for this. Ultimately, if contract labor turns into the norm, compensation and advantage structures will evolve as less important in HR management.
